Supporting Campus Ministries
The Synod of the Northeast greatly values the gifts of our young people and is committed to welcoming and celebrating their presence and leadership in all levels of our community's engagement.
We recognize that college years can be a particularly formative time for individuals, and that campus ministries can play an essential role in their spiritual discernment and development. The Synod of the Northeast is committed to supporting these ministries in cooperation with our member presbyteries and congregations. We seek to establish relationships that support this important work through partnership as well as financial gifts. For that reason, priority is given to those ministries with strong relationships to the PC(USA).
Application Criteria
Engage students in deep and meaningful encounters with Christian spirituality.
Develop students as leaders on campus, in their community, and/or in their congregation.
Exemplify the Synod’s values of Community, Diversity & Inclusion, and Missional Identity.
Partner with local Presbyterian congregations or other Presbyterian entities.
The program/ministry must be located in the geographical bounds of the Synod of the Northeast

Grants will be awarded to support ongoing campus ministry programs or specific projects within a program’s ministry. Awards are based on individual requests up to the grant maximum of $2,500 per year with the following requirements: Grants are to be used for the implementation of the identified program or project. If additional funds remain after all awards have been determined at the late January/early February Synod Commission meeting, applicants will be notified of the opportunity to request additional funds.
